Ship Conversion

Rodolfo Mata, Livestock Carrier
Originally a container vessel, we converted Rodolfo Mata into the world’s largest livestock carrier in 2002. It has the capacity to carry a maximum load of 120,000 sheep or 25,000 cattle. The ship is configured to carry any combination of the two species.

FPSO East Fortune

The Nortechs-owned tanker was converted to an FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading), an offshore oil & gas industry vessel. The conversion included the fabrication and installation of flare towers, heli-deck structure, E-House, offshore crane, fire management systems, flare knockout drum and CSU modules.

Ship Repair

Arahura, Passenger Ferry
Arahura owners, Interislander, trusted us with the task of modifying and repairing the iconic passenger ferry from New Zealand. This ship has been performing her duty of ferrying cars and people between the North and South Island of the New Zealand archipelago. One of the most dramatic changes in this project, the modification of a section on the aft of the ship, required the cutting of the aforementioned which used to be passenger accommodations to make room for recreational areas.

Jascon 28, Accomodation Barge
The accommodation barge Jascon 28 was docked in February 2008 to be fitted with some new items and to undergo a major upgrade of accommodations. The project scope included the installation of a 270t Seatrax crane. For this crane, the pedestal was pre-fabricated and assembled before its installation onboard. A 34t TTS deck crane was also installed after the strengthening of the under deck structure. One Warstila retractable thruster and two new ThrustMaster thrusters were added to the existing 4 thrusters. Fifteen new cabins were added to the existing ones and this barge now has the capacity to sleep 462 persons. Some of the new additions to the barge were the DP3 positioning equipment, a new communications system, an extra switchboard and Genset.
