Drydocks World considers Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) to be a core value in all its operations. Throughout Drydocks World, OHS is promoted under the strap-line "Safety is our Highest Priority".

Drydocks World has an OHS Team led by top-level management, supported by external consultants, which is dedicated to striving towards OHS excellence in the group.

Each of our yards have quality, safety and environment systems based on ISO 9001:2000 for Quality Management, OHSAS 18001:2007 for Occupational Health and Safety and EMS 14001:2004 for Environmental Management.

Drydocks World – Dubai, a winner of the prestigious British Safety Council (BSC) Sword of Honour for 6 consecutive years, is considered to have the best OHS performance in the marine industry worldwide. The Sword of Honour is presented to only 40 companies worldwide annually. The presentation is made to companies who have attained 5 stars in the BSC audit and for further demonstrating continual improvement of the Health & Safety systems and procedures by providing evidence of practical implementation of the same.

The same high safety and quality standards are being applied to all other facilities within the group. As members of the British Safety Council, we are audited annually using their International 5 Star Management System Audit tool. The 5 Star Management System audit goes beyond legal compliance and evaluates every aspect of our Occupational Health & Safety management system and procedures in line with international best practice. Drydocks World – Singapore attained 3 stars in the BSC audit for 2 years consecutively, and Drydocks World – Graha, Nanindah, and Pertama attained 3 stars, 2 stars and 2 stars respectively for their first year of BSC audit.
